Merges with Mumbai-based Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital

Mumbai-based Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital has merged with Dr Agarwals Eye Hospitals. Prof Dr S Natarajan, a third-generation ophthalmologist will now be the Chief of Vitreo Retina services of Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals.

 

Dr Agarwals Eye Hospitals will invest over Rs 300 crore in Maharashtra in the next 18-24 months to set up 20 eye care facilities across Mumbai and rest of the state.

 

Chennai-based eyecare chain has devised a Rs 1,000 crore expansion plan to increase its footprint across the globe by establishing 100 new hospitals in the next 3 years and over 500 vision centres, along with a strong digital presence

 

Talking about the development, Dr Amar Agarwal, Chairman, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospitals, said “This is a very significant milestone for us as we have hit a century with this merger. Aditya Jyot Hospital becoming a part of our chain has taken our total tally of eyecare facilities across India and abroad to 100.”
