Himachal Pradesh University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBI Elemental, Gurugram, for research and development and business collaboration.
The MoU was signed between Prof Sikander Kumar, VC, Himachal Pradesh University and Mr. Atul, MD, NBI Elemental, Gurugram with the hope that the areas of collaboration will be diversified in due course of time.
The company had registered with the state government during investors’ meet at Dharamsala and also submitted a proposal.
The university and company will work together initially with Biotechnology Incubation Centre (BIC-HPU) while working in specific areas of medicinal plant-based product development.
The state government through Department of Industries, Ayurveda and Infrastructural Development Board, has also agreed to join hands together for this project which will be operated in the public-private partnership mode.
