Toshiba introduces its new Aquilion ONE ViSION Edition CT system.

The fast rotation speed, large coverage area and Adaptive Diagnostics technologies deliver excellent image quality and more efficient workflow," said Mr Satrajit Misra, senior director, CT Business Unit, Toshiba.

The Aquilion ONE ViSION Edition and its new PURE ViSION CT Detector provide unique benefits for cardiac care. It Produces high-quality images and fast workflow by capturing the entire heart in one rotation with 640 slices. It Can image bariatrics and those with high heart rates with a gantry rotation of 0.275 seconds and a large bore (78 cm). The system's lesion visualization and myocardial perfusion capability allow clinicians to visualize and quantify myocardial ischemia with a single CT exam.

Toshiba's third-generation iterative dose reconstruction software, AIDR 3D, offers simplified dose reduction that produces the image quality needed for diagnosis at low dose.

The company will showcase the Aquilion ONE ViSION Edition at this year's American College of Cardiology (ACC) annual meeting.
