Indovax, engaged in the production of quality poultry biologicals since 1991, has recorded sales turnover of Rs 30 crore in 2006-07. There was no change in its sales revenue over the previous year. Deepak Kapoor, managing director, Indovax, said, "We have done well during the year as there were no biological sales from February – October 2006 due to bird flu. Whatever we have done, it was from the last 6-7 months."

Indovax believes that there is much more to combating poultry diseases than just producing vaccines - relevant research, specific products and specially designed vaccination programs. Hence a team consisting of over 30 researchers (with PhDs, Masters in sciences and biotechnology) headed by Dr Lalit Belwal at Indovax is on a continuous hunt to search for newer solutions and, thereby, counter the new emerging threats to poultry. Soon it will be launching its latest vaccine.

It was in the early 1990s that Indovax products came to rescue of the Indian poultry sector as no other product, Indian or international worked to successfully control Gumboro disease. Since then, Indovax has focused on product development for Indian (tropical) conditions and a unique holistic approach to poultry disease challenges, as distinct from a product approach. This approached has helped the Indian poultry farmer in overcoming the ever-increasing and challenging disease problems.

Indovax product portfolio comprises viral vaccines, inactivated vaccines and bacterins. Spread over an area of 14 acres in a completely poultry-free zone, Indovax has a modern state-of-the-art facility designed to meet global standards.

Indovax also offers sero-monitoring services to the Indian poultry industry and extends MAb (maternally derived antibodies) analysis facility to all poultry farms, based on which specific time-bound immunization schedules are recommended. It offers not only a basket of quality products but suggests the perfect path to effective prevention.

Indovax does not just sell vaccines; it sells complete vaccination programs that are area-specific and even customer-specific.
