Max Healthcare expands African footprint with launch of fourth office

Max Healthcare has announced the launch of its Patient Assistance Centre in Dar es Salaam, marking its fourth office in Africa after Nairobi, Addis Ababa & Lagos and further strengthening the healthcare group’s presence across the continent.

The new Patient Assistance Centre (PAC) will serve as a local point of engagement for patients and families in Tanzania and the wider East African region seeking access to advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare in India.

It will facilitate access to Max Healthcare’s network of hospitals, clinical specialists and advanced medical capabilities, while providing patients with support and guidance throughout their healthcare journey.

The launch reinforces Max Healthcare’s commitment to building stronger and more accessible healthcare connections between India and Africa, and reflects the growing demand for specialised medical expertise and advanced treatment options across the region.

Through its network of hospitals in India, Max Healthcare offers advanced clinical capabilities across a wide range of specialties, including oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, organ transplantation, renal sciences, robotic surgeries and other complex and specialised areas of medicine.

The PAC will provide authentic information about treatment, connect patients with leading clinicians through video consults in India and help bridge the information gap between patients and Max Hospitals.  Max PAC will also provide support related to visa/travel assistance, coordination with hospitals in India, information and estimates of treatment costs, and interpreter services, among other things.

 At present, Max Healthcare operates 11 International Offices/PACs operational in different parts of Asia and Africa and receives over 45,000 patients from over 180 nationalities every year.
