ICPA Health Products hosted its latest interactive online session on the subject of Minimally Invasive Biomimetic Restorations practised as No Post and No Crown Dentistry. The session was led by guest speaker Dr Leena Rawal and co-hosted by Dr Navdeep Dhupar. The 12th episode of the clinical series stressed dentists being conservative in their approach towards replacing only what is missing and to try and save a tooth or teeth in their natural form and function. Biomimetic Dentistry applies minimally invasive procedures to protect and conserve teeth.

Dr Rawal stressed eliminating the need for every tooth requiring a post-core and crown. The speaker emphasised the need for dentists to conserve patients’ tooth structure as much as possible, especially enamel. The session covered a lot of clinical cases that showed the application of adhesive dentistry by following strict isolation protocols to enhance the aesthetics and longevity of restorations.
