BD Biosciences and CSIR-IGIB inaugurate its first Centre of Excellence for Single-Cell Multiomics

BD Life Sciences–Biosciences, a segment of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a global leader in life sciences, in collaboration with Delhi-based Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), has announced the inauguration of its Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Single-Cell Multiomics in India.

The CoE aims to revolutionise single-cell multi-omics research, combining BD’s Rhapsody™ Single Cell Analysis Solutions with CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative (IGIB)'s expertise in high-throughput Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Bioinformatics.

Commenting on the launch, Atul Grover, Managing Director, BD India/South Asia said, “This Single-Cell Multiomics Centre of Excellence reflects our commitment to empowering scientists with advanced tools that drive innovation in health research. By enabling deeper insights into how cells function, we aim to accelerate discoveries in areas like immunity and cancer. The centre will serve as a hub for training, application support, and collaboration—helping researchers turn complex challenges into real-world solutions, aligned with our purpose of advancing the world of health."
