BioAsia 2011 brochure was released at a ceremony held recently
The eighth edition of BioAsia, the global bio-business forum organized
by Government of Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled for February 21-24, 2011,
in Hyderabad. The event aims to provide a common platform to
stakeholders and business drivers of the life sciences sector; to
create synergies, share sustainable best practices, and chart a
strategic way forward.
The event will focus on enhancing cooperation among stakeholders
through conference sessions that provide an opportunity to learn,
network with peers, and share best practices. The international trade
show, to be held as part of the event, will focus on showcasing the
strength and influencing capacity of participating companies; B2B
partnering develops private business network; the CEO conclave provides
an opportunity to share the vision and ideas, in an interactive
thought-leadership forum; and Bio Parks session provides the chance to
visit world-class biotechnology, medical technology and agricultural
biotechnology (agribiotech) clusters.
A wide range of entrepreneurs including senior executives of leading
biotechnology companies, business development teams from large and
mid-size pharmaceutical companies, eminent scientists from R&D
institutions, universities, investors besides other industry experts
are expected to attend this event that will also provide an excellent
platform for global business tie-ups.
The previous edition of BioAsia held in February 2010, saw a
participation of over 4,000 delegates from 21 countries across the
globe. The event also recorded 800 onsite B2B meetings, and featured
about 160 companies.
