Wireless, app-based technology is positioning the ultrasound to become as ubiquitous as a stethoscope for general practitioners
Healcerion announced the SONON 300L will be unveiled to the US market with live demos at booth #722 in the New Exhibitor Pavilion at FMX Family Medicine Experience Show 2018, October 9-13, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Benjamin Ryu, CEO and Founder of Healcerion and creator of the SONON 300L says, "Today, the stethoscope is a symbol of the medical profession. It is the most ubiquitous, recognized diagnostic instrument worldwide. Thanks to wireless technology and innovation, we now have a world-class ultrasound device that fits easily in your hand or your pocket." Dr. Ryu adds, "Primary Care Physicians and other clinicians can try the new SONON 300L wireless, handheld ultrasound device at FMX, and learn how to accelerate diagnosis, gain deeper insight into patient health and provide a richer patient experience, while increasing revenue."
This family medicine event is the AAFP's (American Academy of Family Physicians) largest annual meeting. Attendees will gain valuable new family medicine knowledge through exclusive opportunities to engage with the latest developments in health care, patient expectations, treatment guidelines, and technology including the newly launched SONON 300L wireless, handheld ultrasound device.
SONON 300L is smaller and easier to use than any other ultrasound in the US market. It removes the barriers of space and budgetary constraints for an acquisition of a diagnostic ultrasound device. As a result, practitioners and patients both benefit.
The SONON 300L costs approximately 1/10 of a traditional ultrasound unit. It uses easy touch-screen controls with an app downloaded from the Google Play or Apple App Store. It pairs with a tablet or smartphone as a display, and images can be analyzed and shared quickly. The device weighs only 13 ounces (370 grams) and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with industry-leading 3-hour continuous run-time, Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G/LTE cellular capability.
