"The government must focus on incentivising preventive care – which includes screening for NCDs and personalised medicine. The diagnostic industry and government need to work together to create reimbursement policies and payment methods based on the value that diagnostics offer, and not just the volume of tests run. The government and diagnostics ecosystem needs to work together to move towards ‘Health for All’ to ensure the availability of diagnostic tests at public health facilities to reduce the out-of-pocket expenditure incurred by patients."
