Alagu Subramaniam, MD, West India shares his views on the ongoing COVID-19 situation
"These are challenging times not only for India and our citizens but globally as well. By practicing social distancing and self isolation as warranted, we will help reduce the stress on the healthcare system.
These are uncertain, difficult and unprecedented times worldwide. The initiatives of the Central and State Governments across India have to be lauded, however, for the country to defeat this pandemic every citizen has to play an important part in being responsible.
Restrict movement of people (other than emergency and critical services)
Encourage social distancing to slow spread
Empower companies to implement work from home protocols to limit exposure of workforce
Increase testing and isolation of impacted persons
Encourage transparent knowledge sharing and collaboration globally."
