Teams are rapidly developing the next generation of digital solutions
Roche’s first Digital Center of Excellence in India plans to expand and develop the organisation with an expected workforce totalling to 1300.
Raja Jamalamadaka (as seen in the image), Managing Director, Roche Information Solutions (RIS) India, said that housed in a 200,000 square feet area and growing from 36 employees during its inception to over 350 employees at present, RIS India is a co-location for Roche Information Solutions, Roche Diagnostics Solutions R&D, and Roche Informatics teams encompassing a diverse team of professionals from data engineers and software engineers to architects and user-experience professionals. These diverse teams work together, while leveraging India’s dynamic digital ecosystem, to build cutting edge products in digital healthcare.
Jamalamadaka further said that the digital center’s focus is on delivering data-driven solutions that enable insights-based decisions. The Digital Center of Excellence is developing cloud-based software products, algorithms, and products to enhance laboratory operations, support timely decisions, and improve care along the patient journey. The teams are rapidly developing the next generation of digital solutions. Their work is also steered by the latest perspectives from their innovation teams in locations globally
Roche information Solutions India evolved from Roche’s 2017 acquisition of Viewics’, a startup with its engineering center in Pune.
