Primary healthcare services will be provided

Huawei India has partnered with Wockhardt Foundation and CanWinn Foundation to run a mobile medical clinic van, as a part of its nationwide CSR initiative. The activity focuses on providing primary healthcare facilities to the needy in the city of Gurugram, slums in the city, and neighbouring areas.

Initially operated by Wockhardt Foundation, the mobile medical clinic van is created to cater to about 9,600 patients in two months, serving around 200 patients daily. The van will be operated by a team comprising one doctor, one pharmacist, and one driver to cover the Gurugram district area and will be conducting free OPD/ health screening sessions for the locals.

The van is equipped with a GPS, enabling the administrators to monitor the progress of the van regularly. The van will also offer free basic health services and will be working towards creating awareness around sanitation, hygiene, mother and child healthcare, safe drinking water, immunization, anaemia, de-worming, vector-borne diseases, HIV, snakebites, diabetes, and tuberculosis. Facilities/kits to diagnose malaria, hepatitis, dengue, typhoid, blood sugar, blood pressure, and other medical ailments will be on-boarded on the van. The van will also have provisions to refer complicated cases to speciality hospitals.
