Panellists discussed ways to improve healthcare outcomes with the availability of better-skilled nurses from the community
Healthjobs.One, an initiative by Medvarsity, recently organised a conferencefor the nursing community – ‘New frontiers in Nursing - Sustained Growth & Opportunities' in Delhi.
Recognising that nurses are at the heart of the healthcare system, Gerald Jaideep, CEO, Medvarsity opened the session with a keynote outlining the career path for a nurse in our country. He also spoke of the improved healthcare outcome with the availability of better-skilled nurses from the community.
Eminent speakers from healthcare and the nursing fraternity shared insights from their areas of expertise. The list of speakers included Prof (Dr) Bimla Kapoor, Chairperson, National Nursing Commission; Vinodh Krishnakutty, Nursing Director, Medanta the Medicity; Nomita Sarkar, Head of Nursing Services, Manipal Hospitals; Shallu Kakkar, VP Recruitment & Operations, Apollo Education UK; Maryline Flinsi, Nursing Principal, Apollo School of Nursing.
The key themes of the event revolved around nursing and healthcare covering topics like improving patient outcomes through workforce redeployment and diversification, strategic imperatives for today’s nurse leaders, Nursing in India: awaiting a bright future, effective manpower utilisation, emerging trends in nursing education.
More than 100 senior and mid-level healthcare leaders attended the conference and approximately 3000 guests attended the Youtube live session.
