New Delhi-based Niramaya Research has launched an initiative 'Research India' to encourage and build a medical research framework in the country. The competition is open for all 550 medical colleges and hundreds of other Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, dental colleges across India to participate. The organisation has so far received 100 entries from 37 medical colleges in India which includes MBBS students and even the faculties.

The last date of application is 15th July while the last date of submission of the report is August 10. Three outstanding entries will be awarded scholarships of one lakh, 75000 and 50000 respectively.

Viveksheel Agarwal, Chairman, Niramaya Research said “We have invited research on two topics namely relation of cancer to oxidative stress increased by paracetamol and the second is oxidative stress increased by processed food is related to autoimmune diseases. We endeavour to keep introducing such topics which are of paramount importance for medical science to evolve better. We also want to increase the participation of Indian students towards their contribution to medical science by providing insightful approaches through their latest research."

More recently, in research on medicines given in mild cases of the corona by Niramaya Research, it was revealed that the indiscriminate use of medicines like paracetamol, antibiotics, steroids, etc. caused formidable problems of the corona. After this research, the health department removed many medicines from the initial treatment of corona.
