MindfulTMS Neurocare launches new centre in Bengaluru

According to IPS the number of mental health cases had increased by 20% since the lockdown

Bengaluru based MindfulTMS Neurocare, which is a part of NR Group, has recently announced the launch of its new centre at Whitefield, Bangalore.

This is its 4th Clinic in India and the 10th worldwide. As per the report from the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), the number of mental health cases had increased by 20 percent since the lockdown and that at least one in five Indians were affected. To address the issue, Mysore-based NR Group has decided to extend its services by launching another centre in the city. 

This is the first of its kind centre to use US FDA-approved Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treating Depression, Addiction, and OCD in India. Pavan Ranga, CEO, MindfulTMS, along with Dr Murali S. Rao, (Professor and Chairman Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences Loyola University Medical Centre, Chicago, USA) and Dr Vijay Mehtry inaugurated the centre at a virtual press conference. 

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive procedure with no side effects that use magnetic fields to stimulate targeted nerve cells and improves symptoms of depression and other conditions like anxiety, OCD, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Stroke rehabilitation, Schizophrenia, and Parkinson’s disease.

This centre offers a distinguished treatment for psychological, psychiatric, and behavioral health and well-being. The team of experts at the Centre includes Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists who have extensive experience in neuromodulation and neurostimulation. Further, the company aims to provide newer modalities for addressing mental health while bringing more people under the umbrella by providing customized treatments.
