Practo has partnered with Indian Heart Rhythm Society to livestream India’s 1st National Physiological Pacing Symposium on the Practo website.

The two day event, held in association with The Madras Medical Mission and accredited by the Indian Society of Electrocardiology is scheduled for 14th and 15th February, and will see clinical experts from all over the world, exchange knowledge and share details of advancements around Physiological Pacing practices in the field of Cardiac sciences.  As their digital healthcare partner, Practo is live streaming the entire event on its platform so that physicians, students and others from the medical community can join and benefit from it, from anywhere in the world.

The recent success of physiological pacing has changed the practice of device implantation for patients requiring ventricular pacing. Physiological pacing is evolving as a cost-effective method of pacing and resynchronization therapy. This would be highly beneficial in making the treatment method more affordable for the Indian population. Therefore, through this symposium, the technique and procedure of performing Physiological pacing would be shared with the experts attending the event in-person or via Practo webcast. The symposium would showcase live-implantation procedures performed by renowned Cardiac-Electrophysiologists from India and abroad. The experts attending the event will have the opportunity to have 'hands – on' experience with the operator.

The cases of cardiac ailments in the nation are increasing significantly owing to reasons ranging from genetic predisposition, to changing lifestyle, to increasing  obesity and other such factors. Medical experts across India and internationally are undertaking best efforts possible for adoption of advanced technology and clinical application to come up with novel solutions and it is imperative to share this knowledge within the community. Through the webcast, Practo aims that these important events are being attended by the healthcare experts, irrespective of their location.
