Hamdard India, an over 112-year-old FMCG and Unani company in India has further expanded into retail with the launch of Hamdard Wellness Centre in Bengaluru, the first in the state after the successful opening of the centres in Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, and Patna.

The centre will offer specialised unani consultation by experienced doctors and unani medicines at the fully stocked unani pharmacy for problems related to diabetes, heart, liver, fertility, skin, hair, digestion, piles, kidney and general health issues.

The centre was inaugurated by Sivananda S Patil, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Karnataka. "The government is gradually moving in to this field of natural therapy such as unani and ayurveda. I urge Hamdard to tie up with few districts in Karnataka and open more such centres", he said at the inaugural ceremony.

Mansoor Ali, Chief Marketing and sales officer, Hamdard India said, "Hamdard India spends 85 per cent of our resources on CSR activities through our Hamdard National Foundation. We started this wellness initiative about 2 years ago. The wellness centre at Bengaluru is the outcome of this initiative of reaching out to many people with unani medicines. After this centre, we are opening two more wellness centres in July- one in Meerut and one in Ghaziabad".
