Around 100 policemen were screened at the hospital as a part of the health awareness campaign.

Columbia Asia Hospital Hebbal organized a week-long free lung screening health check-up camp for the traffic policemen at the hospital. The camp was inaugurated by MS. Sara Fathima, North Traffic Dy. Commissioner of Police Traffic North Division. Around 100 policemen were screened at the hospital as a part of the health awareness campaign.

“We appreciate this initiative by Columbia Asia Hospital Hebbal.  Lungs screening is very essential for the traffic policemen as they spend most of their time on roads controlling traffic and constantly inhaling the poor quality air of the vehicular traffic. Hence it is advisable that they have their health check’s done regularly to avoid any further health complications,” said MS. Sara Fathima, North Traffic Dy. Commissioner of Police Traffic North Division.

“Traffic cops are continuously exposed to air pollution and are at increased health risks. Regular health check-up is very important and preventive measures should be taken to prevent respiratory problems” said Dr. Mahesh Mylarappa, Consultant - Emergency Physician, Columbia Asia Hospital Hebbal.
