Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru, to build a 300-bed hospital complex in the present Jayadeva premises.

This project will help reduce the congestion faced by the hospital and also treat poor patients from various parts of the country. The foundation stone laying ceremony, was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy, Infosys Foundation Chairperson, Sudha Murty, S.R. Mahesh, Minister for Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka and Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru.

Additionally, as part of its continued focus on healthcare, Infosys Foundation also signed an MoU with the District Health and Family Welfare Department in the Kanakpura taluk of Ramanagara, Karnataka, to help construct a 100-bed capacity maternal and child care hospital. The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murty, D.K. Shivakumar, Minister for Major Irrigation, Govt. of Karnataka, and D.K. Suresh, Member of Parliament.
