Stroke Screening to mark World Stroke Day

Brains Hospital is conducting stroke screening camp at all its four centres.

Stroke (Brain attack), is one of the leading cause of disability and the third common cause of death. Nearly 180-210 people per 1 lakh population are getting affected with stroke annually. More and more young people are falling prey to serious brain attack.

In a bid to mark the ‘World Stroke Day’, Brains Hospital is conducting stroke screening camp at all its four centres – Sparsh Brains at Infantry Road, SSNMC Brains at RR Nagar, MVJ Brains at Hoskote and Aveksha Brains at Singapura, from October 29th –November 10th 2018. Those above 40 years of age, diabetic, hypertensive or have a family history of stroke, can get themselves evaluated at any of these centres.

In such unfortunate event, timely intervention within the ‘Golden period’ of three hours will reduce the risk of death as well as disability. In order to make advanced treatment accessible to everyone in Bengaluru, Brains has established four major Stroke centers (Sparsh Brains, Infantry Road, SSNMC Brains, RR Nagar, MVJ Brains, Hoskote and Aveksha Brains, Singapura), along with 30 quick access ‘Golden Hour’ clinics, to enable these needy people access and get timely treatment.”

Stroke screening package will comprise of ECG, RBS, total cholesterol, blood pressure check, along with neurological consultation from our top neurologists.
