AIIMS inks pact for rural health services

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur and Health Department, Government of Chhattisgarh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishment of Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) recently in presence of State Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar at Raipur based Multi-Super speciality DKS hospital conference hall.

The main aim of RHTC is to provide Medical Officers, Paramedical and MBBS students training at the centre. The centre would be also strengthening the community based research works on health issues. At present the community health centre Kurud building, employees’ residence and present run institution would be utilised for the services for which permission would be granted. The land would be provided on lease till the MoU period.

The central government fund would be used for establishing the centre and providing graduate and PG level hostel facilities for the trainees. The administrative control and allocated land would be under AIIMS.
