DocsApp, the leading online consultation platform that connects patients to specialist doctors in just 30 minutes via chat or call, is furthering its initiative to provide accessible healthcare across geographical and socio-economic boundaries in India. It has furthered this vision by introducing web-based consultation for the users who are not familiar with the concept of mobile applications. Having cemented its position as India’s #1 online health consultation platform, DocsApp is taking this step to reach out to more patients in tier 3 and 4 parts of India in order to make quality healthcare accessible to them, without the need of downloading a mobile application.

The mobile-based platform that offers seamless and high-quality doctor consultations, has removed the necessity of using its mobile application by providing an easy-to-use web service. Top-ranked doctors across the country can now be reached via DocsApp seamlessly through a web platform. Keeping in mind that over 50% of the users on DocsApp are from below tier 2 and other rural parts of India, coupled with their lack of knowledge regarding mobile applications and prevalence of low storage mobile models, this decision is a step in the right direction for DocsApp to make its services easily available to all socio-economic sectors in India.

Regarding the new service, Mr. Satish Kannan, Co-founder & CEO of DocsApp said, “As the use of internet is becoming more widespread in the semi-urban parts of India, providing consultations via web will help internet users access healthcare services via multiple devices including mobile, laptops and desktops. The goal is to make quality healthcare accessible to as many people as possible, especially the ones who don't have access to a high budget smartphones or lack the technical know-how of downloading a mobile app. The same simple Whatsapp like user interface has been used in the web version of DocsApp and there is no difference in the user experience while talking to a Doctor.

The launch of DocsApp’s web consultation service is just another indicator of the platform’s unwavering commitment to taking affordable and accessible healthcare to all parts of India. DocsApp has left no stone unturned in its drive to bring world-class specialist doctors to the mobile screens of the patients, who otherwise do not have access to specialists and highly qualified doctors in their vicinity. DocsApp has on board, over 3500 doctors spread across 19 specialties, and has helped over 3.5 million Indians through its chat-based mobile application.
