State government has decided to re-appoint doctors after retirement for upto three more years on pay minus pension formula
Deputy CM Nitin Patel announced that the state government has decided to re-appoint doctors after retirement for up to three more years on pay minus pension formula.
At present, doctors retire at the age of 62. The minister said that the reappointment will be on the formula of pay (at the time of retirement) minus pension.
Such doctors would have to keep their residences at the place of re-appointment. In case of death during re-appointment period, family member will get no special benefits. The minister said that this arrangement won’t affect promotions. The re-appointed docs would be relieved of duties if a regular doctor becomes available.
The retiring doctors would be appointed for 12 months initially. However, they would not be eligible for receiving pension, bonus, leave encashment, and other benefits, the government clarified.
