Piramal Swasthya signs MoU with New South Wales University

Piramal Swasthya and the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint research, training and grant writing in the field of tele-medicine, mobile health and primary healthcare in India for a period of over five years.

As part of the program, students of UNSW will have an opportunity to complete internships and clinical placements across Piramal Swasthya’s networks. Piramal Swasthya is an initiative under the aegis of Piramal Foundation (the philanthropic arm of the Piramal Group).

The two will jointly engage in leadership development, capacity building, development of clinical decision support systems and data analytics for public healthcare in India. Both will also work in the areas of health financing, health economics and road safety.

Laurie Pearcey, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), University of New South Wales stated that Piramal Swasthya shares UNSW’s vision for harnessing the fruits of great research and innovation to generate major clinical impact that will make a real difference to patient outcomes. Australia’s Global University looks forward to partnering with Piramal Swasthya to improve lives across the length and breadth of India.
