Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of its new "Thermo Scientific DRI Hydrocodone/Hydromorphone Assay". The new assay is a homogeneous enzyme immunoassay that specifically detects hydrocodone and major metabolites in human urine at a 300 ng/mL cut-off. The assay utilizes ready-to-use liquid reagents, calibrators, and controls, and can be run in qualitative and semi-quantitative modes.
The assay has more than 100 percent cross-reactivity to major metabolites hydromorphone and hydromorphone glucuronide. DRI Hydrocodone or Hydromorphone Assay demonstrated good correlation with LC-MS/MS and has excellent assay precision. It is a sensitive, specific and easy-to-use screening tool for hydrocodone and major metabolites in urine samples. This assay is "For Criminal Justice and Forensic Use Only".
