Leica microsystems to set up a Center of Excellence at Yale

Leica microsystems, a global player in scientific instruments, in collaboration with Yale University,  is to set up a center of excellence at the university's west campus. This new center will provide researchers access to the latest instrumentation technology, updated regularly by Leica, they will work towards developing novel imaging technologies.

Housed in a new building, this new facility will give Leica access to world class research. The University has invited scientists to be a part of the opening cermony on the 20-21, October, 2014.

"We are extremely excited to embark on this journey of discovery with Yale University as our first such partnership in the USA," said Mr Doug Reed, general manager of Leica Microsystems, North America. "This cooperation will provide some of the best scientific minds access to imaging tools previously out of reach, plus allow Leica Microsystems ready access to new ideas from outstanding scientific leaders, which will be used to guide development of tomorrow's innovations."
