Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services announced a $100 million investment plan, earlier this year to accelerate growth in its CRDMO services across Small molecules, Peptides, Nutraceuticals and Biologics.

In the first phase, Aurigene has deployed $40 million for their Genome Valley site at Hyderabad. This facility is designed to serve the cell line, clinical development & small-scale manufacturing of biologics assets of innovative biotechs and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The company has disclosed the details regarding the next phase of investment of around $60 million.

Aurigene has deployed $20 million in building a state-of-the-art API & Intermediates block, adding more capacity at one of it’s FDA approved facility in Telangana. This new block is now fully operational and dedicated to innovator pharma manufacturers. The facility is uniquely equipped to handle a set of hazardous reactions in a very safe manner, setting a new industry standard. This reflects Aurigene’s commitment to next generation API manufacturing.

The organisation is also investing $10 million to set up a dedicated GMP suite at its facility in Mirfield, UK, for small molecule manufacturing, to cater to the needs of European Biotechs and Pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Furthering its leadership in innovation, Aurigene is making significant investments in peptide research, development and manufacturing through a comprehensive investment plan. Expansion of capacity in its pilot facility is completed and the new R&D lab is fully operational now. The expansion in large-scale GMP capabilities is underway. The company's peptide platform will feature advanced Micro-wave assisted synthesis, SPPS and LPPS, ensuring excellence for handling complex multi-mer peptide APIs (linear, branched & cyclic), intermediates and fragments.

Specific information regarding investments across Nutraceuticals and Biologics services is yet to be disclosed by Aurigene Services.
