Roche India appoints new MD

Roche Diagnostics India, a company in the in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, announced the appointment of Dr Shravan Subramanyam as the managing director, for its operations in India and the neighboring markets, comprising Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Mr Guido Sander, who was earlier the MD of Roche Diagnostics India, has shifted base to Singapore, to head high growth markets for Roche Diagnostics' APAC business.

His portfolio, which includes India, now also covers Vietnam, Myanmar, Pakistan and Indonesia.

Mr Sander said, "I am pleased to welcome Dr Shravan to Roche. His wide experience covering pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, in countries which are at different stages of healthcare evolution will be valuable for the growth plans of the Roche Diagnostics India and neighboring markets business....."

A physician from Madras Medical College, Dr Shravan completed his Masters' degree in health administration at Cornell University, where he served on the alumni board.

 

He has a passion for diagnostics, and is particularly keen on exploring personalized healthcare, with the goal of providing the right treatment for the right group of patients.

Dr Subramanyam commented, "I am excited to be a part of the brand Roche... I look forward to being a part of this journey...."
