With BioAsia slated to be organised in Hyderabad from February 26-28, the event has announced a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, to spotlight India's prowess in the life sciences sector.

The 21st edition of BioAsia 2024 is anticipated to draw over 3,000 participants from more than 50 countries, with significant registrations already pouring in despite the event being seven weeks away. Nearly 200 companies have enrolled for the exhibition, aiming to exhibit groundbreaking advancements and cutting-edge technologies in healthcare.

Notably, the event will feature prominent government dignitaries, industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other delegates, exploring the theme of "Data & AI: Redefining Possibilities" to discuss reshaping the future of healthtech delivery in the country.

By partnering with MSME, BioAsia 2024 aims to become a premier platform for fostering growth and innovation within the MSME sector. According to Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries, Government of Telangana, this collaboration underscores BioAsia’s commitment, aligning with the government's vision to promote the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, pivotal to India’s burgeoning life sciences industry.

As part of the collaboration, BioAsia will host a dedicated MSME Pavilion, providing a unique opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium-Scale Enterprises to forge partnerships, expand businesses, and showcase India’s prowess in the global life sciences arena. Through the Procurement and Market Support (PMS)-Market Access Initiatives of the Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), the cost of participation for MSMEs is subsidised up to 100 per cent.

"The new government of Telangana is dedicated to fostering the growth of MSMEs as the driving force of our economy. BioAsia 2024 will provide a great platform for MSMEs to thrive, innovate, and contribute to the advancement of the life sciences sector in the state," said the Minister. He expressed optimism that this collaborative endeavour would enhance technical acumen, bolster infrastructure, optimise resource utilisation, and lay a strong foundation for future growth.
