Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022: Celebrating 25 years & preparing for decades ahead

As India's biggest technology summit, it will deliver another fulfilling, enriching, and inspiring event with participants from IT, biotech, deeptech and other future unravelling technologies

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022, Asia's most prestigious and sought-after technology summit, is all set to open its doors on 16th to 18th November at Bangalore Palace.

A roadshow for the upcoming event was held in New Delhi on 18th October, for all the stakeholders associated with information technology (IT) and biotechnology (Bt) domains - industry leaders, technocrats, young innovators, investors, R&D professionals, academia, and policymakers.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Government of Karnataka who spoke at length about strengthening the education landscape for future-ready tech talent. “The 21st century is a knowledge based century leading to a knowledge based economy, and it will continue to be in the future centuries as well. And this knowledge will be related to talent and quality of education. Thus it is important to build the right talent and make it sustainable.”

Meena Nagaraj CN, Director, Dept of Electronics, IT & Bt and Managing Director, KITS, Government of Karnataka emphasised on the state’s achievements in the field of biotechnology and IT. “The bioeconomy of Karnataka is valued at $26.9 billion, and the state is home to 60% of India’s biotech companies. Karnataka contributes to around one-third of the biotech exports of the country, and is home for 54% of India’s biotech workforce”, she said.

These figures echo well with the spotlight being given to the biotechnology sector at the BTS 2022 event. Some of the key focus topics include- Historical perspectives on mRNA, Ignite Foundation of Life Sciences, Investing in NextGen MedTech, Vaccine Equity, Cellular Immunotherapies, Moving from Primary to Secondary Agriculture, Industrial Biotechnology, Agri Biotechnology.

“The platform will be celebrating its 25th year and is ready to offer another enriching confluence of pioneering companies, bright minds, and cutting-edge technologies in IT, biotechnology, deeptech, startups and other future-defining spaces”, said Jagdish Patankar, Executive Chairman, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications, event partner of BTS 2022.

Of course, as always BTS 2022 promises to be bigger, bolder, and better.
