Wockhardt Foundation wins Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award,

Wockhardt Foundation was recently honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 2013 on June 11th at New Delhi, by the hands of union minister of coal Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal.

Wockhardt Foundation is a national, secular, not-for-profit organisation engaged in social service and human welfare activities. Its ambitious social growth programme of providing free, primary healthcare to the rural and remote parts of India through its "Mobile 1000" initiative have been successful. It's 16 programs have made appreciable change in arenas of operations to the many lives of the underprivileged.

Having recognized the problem of the rural populations, it launched "Mobile 1000" which today has a pan-India presence operating in 12 states of India. "Wockhardt Foundation operates its social programmes based on the 3 B's - Big, Best, and Bold. The Big ensures scale, the Best ensures quality, and the Bold ensures need" said Dr.Huzaifa Khorakiwala, trustee and CEO, Wockhardt Foundation.

Other than "Mobile 1000", its different programmes like Bio-Toilet, SHUDHU water purification tablets,POSHAK malnutrition supplement,Khel Khel Mein,HIV/AIDS have also started productive and significant outcome. It also provides specially prepared nutrition supplement for HIV positive children to strengthen their immunity.

Wockhardt Foundation has nation-wide group of more than 350 rapidly-growing, powerful, and sensitive Individuals who provide full-time service to the foundation that reiterates the motto of "where every smile counts" into reality.
