Ecron Acunova, a full-service CRO, announced the appointment of Balaji Iyengar as country manager and chief executive officer for India. In this role, Iyengar will be responsible for managing and accelerating the growth of business in India and will be located at the company headquarters in Bangalore.

Iyengar has been with the company since 2005 as a founding member. With over 15 years of corporate experience, he has been instrumental in evolving the strategy, monitoring performance and raising resources for the organization. Previously as CFO, leading the finance function at Ecron Acunova, he worked closely with key sponsors in finalizing several master service agreements and alliance agreements with business partners.

Devashish Ohri joins Invitrogen as MD
Devashish Ohri has been appointed as the managing director for South Asia with Invitrogen, part of Life Technologies. He has over 20 years of experience across different sectors.

Ohri has graduated in history from St Stephen's College, New Delhi, and he did his MBA from INSEAD in France. Prior to joining Life Technologies, he was the sales leader for Eli Lilly India, focusing on diabetes care and institution business.
