Now, an exclusive Life Sciences job portal!

A new job portal fully dedicated only to Life Sciences professionals will be officially launched and available on August 10, 2015.

DNA JOBS, as is called, is a portal whose architecture has been designed to help solve process inefficiency in the recruitment cycle.

"This is a centralized platform, and we have mapped the entire life sciences industry into 24 segments, which are further mapped to different companies and employees. Other generic job portals like Naukri, Monster and Times Jobs are into all the industry segments. There are certain existing pain areas for human resource professionals while completing recruiting," commented Mr Ravi Kshirsagar, founder of Inbiosys, a two-year-old start-up which provides project management consulting services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

The job portals is said to be a part of Inbiosys.

The portal's algorithm design will try and offer the closest solution to what is being searched by prospective candidates.

It took 7-odd months to develop the portal from conceptualization-to-launch without any external investments backing it up, said the company.

According to Mr Kshirsagar, the job portal will considerably reduce the hiring costs and bring down the lead time during hiring process.

The portal is expected to cross 30,000 registrations this month.

"We are trying to bring research, academia and the industry together in one place," he opined.

The idea of launching such a niche job portal stemmed up from his own personal experience, pointed Mr Shirsagar.

He remarked, "The launching of the job portal is purely accidental. I started out as a project management consultant, and while I was looking for opportunities I realized it is a major challenge to reach out to the right people in the life sciences industry. Companies, too, are not able to reach out to the right candidates who are hirable."

The portal is already tied up with 4 key companies for job postings including Hospira, Stelis Biopharma, Syngene and Theramyt Novobiologics.

In the next 30 days after its launch, the portal will have more than 200 job postings, said Mr Kshirsagar.

This past July, another similar job portal called BioHiring was launched by a start-up, Clevergene, which again exclusively caters to candidates seeking employment in the pharma, biotech and healthcare space.
