Lucknow biotech park to be a centre of excellence

To pursue innovative research in areas of mutual interest and develop much needed human resource in field of biotechnology and allied disciplines, Biotech Park (BTP), Lucknow and Babasaheb BBAU, Lucknow entered into memorandum, of understanding (MoU) on May 18, 2015. Both the institutions will promote and develop entrepreneurial environment through training and consultancy aimed at encouraging and enabling small businesses by the young scientists and technologists. 

Both the partners will undertake collaborative human resource development programmes for students and technologists; training of trainers, biotechnology management development programmes, biotechnology related research, innovation and skill development activities, and programs to impart skills in IPRs and expertise in regulations and norms of regulatory authorities such as GMP, GLP, etc.

Biotech Park will be a Centre of Excellence of BBAU. The BTP and BBAU will share their expertise and resources in various programs. Joint certification of
HRD programs being run by BTP will also be possible and the students clearing the biotechnology finishing school will be able to get a joint certificate. The institutions will also jointly write proposals for funding for translational research, training and publish additional data on entrepreneurship development.
