Bangalore: The Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, Vision Group on Biotechnology and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications today announced that Bangalore INDIA BIO (BIB) 2016 with the core Theme 'What's Trending in BIOTECH INDIA' will be held from 9th to 11th February, 2016 at Bangalore.

The announcement was made today by Mr S.R. Patil, Minister for IT, BT and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka, in the presence of members of the Vision Group.

The announcement included an overview of the activities planned during Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016 Conference & Exhibition.

Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016:

Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016 will consist of Multi-Track Conferences, International Tradeshow, Distinguished Lectures & Talks, Poster Session, Bio-Excellence Awards, Global Biotech Conclave, InterlinX BioPartnering, BioQuiz, Bio Accelerate Programme & other Networking Events.

The Event is expected to have 20 Conference Sessions addressed by over 110 Experts, about 100 Exhibitors and will see 3000 plus Business visitors. International representation is expected from nearly 15 countries including USA, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium European Union, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, SAARC and other South East Asian Countries.

The International Conference will deliberate on issues of pressing interest to the Biotech sector including Oncology, Rare Diseases & Orphan Drugs; Proteomics; Big Data & Analytics and IoT; CRAMS and CROs; Agribiotechnology for Food, Feed, Fuel & Fiber Security; International Day and Biotech Finishing Schools - Industry HR Interaction Workshop.

Bangalore INDIA BIO 2016 will include BioPartnering for B2B, B2G and G2G, which will be powered by InterlinX - a Powerful Internet Platform and software networking tool that helps delegates of BIB to maximize their time at the event by scheduling meetings before, during and after the event.

Bio Excellence Awards will recognize the contribution of Start-Up & Young Biotech Companies and Individuals for their outstanding achievements in the field of Biotechnology. The selection process is conducted by ABLE. Exhibitor Awards and Best Poster Awards are presented during the programme.

Over 100 Young Researchers will present innovations through Poster Sessions - Walkway of Discovery. The event will also include Bio-Excellence Awards Ceremony that will recognize the contributions of Biotech Companies and Individuals for their outstanding achievements in the field of Life Sciences and Biotechnology.

BioQuiz, India's largest State Level quiz on Biotechnology will be organized by the Department of IT, BT and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka with the objective to create awareness and help students understand Science and Biotechnology and know about the immense potential that the Indian biotech sector holds. It is open to B.Sc, B.Sc-Agri, and B.E - Biotechnology & B.Pharma students from across the Karnataka.
