Pfizer's India MD resigns from his post

As per one of its filings to Bombay Stock Exchange on October 13, 2015, the pharma major, Pfizer's managing director, Mr Aijaz Tobaccowalla has resigned from the post and his resignation would be effective from October 16th of this month.

Earlier Mr Tobaccowalla has intended to step down from his position on June 5th this year, the company informed. Succeeding Mr Kewal Handa, he was appointed on this post in August, 2012.

The company also stated that its day-to-day operations will be managed by the executive director-business unit and distribution head, Mr S Sridhar till the time the name of Mr Tobaccowalla's successor is announced.

Pfizer said in a filing to the BSE said, "The day-to-day operations of the company shall be managed by S Sridhar, presently the executive director, Business Unit and Distribution Head, until such time that Tobaccowalla's successor is appointed by the Board of Directors."
