San Diego: India's leading integrated science and technology knowledge and B2B communciations enterprise, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications announced the signing of an integral Memorandum of Understanding.

The company announced the partnership with Georgia's Innovation Crescent at the on-going global biotechnology event, BIO 2014 International Convention.

As per the MOU, the Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership (www.innovationcrescent.com) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications (www.mmactiv.in) have formally agreed to support each other in the development of life sciences in Georgia and India.

With the signing of the MOU, the two organisations have agreed to be supportive of collaborative research and development, information sharing, education, and other areas that provide the building blocks for innovative and cutting-edge life science industries.

The announcement further specified that Georgia's Innovation Crescent has been a leading example of successful life science clusters since 2008, featuring more than 400 life science companies, non-profit organisations, universities and government agencies that work together to advance the industry.

 

"This agreement is further evidence of the ongoing working relationship between the Innovation Crescent in Georgia, USA, and India," said Mr Nick Masino, Chairman of the Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership. "We have always and will continue to welcome the collaborative efforts of life science organizations in India as we strive to further life science research, development and investment in both regions," he added.

"It is a continuation of our organisation's efforts to promote, develop and nurture collaborative activities that lead to innovation in life science institutions and companies between India and Georgia, USA," said Mr Narayanan Suresh, group editor of MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications. He assured further, "We will ensure that the red carpet is rolled out to all those who want to invest in India's fast-growing life sciences sector."

"By signing this MOU, the Innovation Crescent and Georgia will move one more step forward in realising the full potential of research and development, academic and business opportunities," said Mr Ani Agnihotri, managing director of United States International Business and Research Center and chairman of the USA India Business Summit.

Mr Agnihotri has been working with many Georgia-based organisations, including Georgia's Innovation Crescent and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, to be a leading state in growing bioscience business with India.
