Reportedly, the government is planning a Cluster Development Program for the pharma sector (CDP-PS) with an estimated Rs 125 crore in the ongoing five-year plan.

The scheme would be implemented under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) format through a one time grant-in-aid to be released in various phases for creation of identified infrastructure and common facilities.

Some of the indicative activities under the common facilities are common testing facilities, training center, effluent treatment plant, R&D centers and common logistics center.

The department is in the process of appointing project management consultant for implementing the CDP-PS.
