DBT seeks nominations for "Career Development Award 2104"

The award is to recognize outstanding contributions of young scientists below 45 years of age in basic and aplied research and to provide grant for research for their career development!

The award is to recognize outstanding contributions of young scientists below 45 years of age in basic and aplied research and to provide grant for research for their career development!

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has invited nominations of scientists who are engaged in basic and aplied research in Biological Sciences including biotechnology, agricultural, medical, and environmental sciences and have made outstanding contributions in research with potential for aplication or product and technology development, for 'National Bioscience Award for Career Development for the year 2014'.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions of young scientists below 45 years of age in basic and applied research in the areas of biosciences and biotechnology including agricultural, biomedical and environmental sciences with potential for aplication/product and technology development and to provide grant for research for their career development.

Upto 10 awards subject to the availability of suitable candidates will be given every year. Each award caries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh along with project research grant of Rs 15 lakh. Also, Rs 5 lakh per year grant is available for a period of three years for career development alongwith a citation.
