Dr DY Patil University which has been conferred a deemed university status, offers courses in biotechnology and bioinformatics through its institute namely the Dr DY Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute. The institute offers a BTech in biotechnology and bioinformatics and MTech (integrated) in biotechnology. Its biotechnology labs are equipped with laboratory facilities in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, animal tissue culture and plant tissue The bioinformatics is well equipped with high speed computers, application software and internet facilities.
