Transasia Bio-Medicals was recently conferred with the Global CSR Excellence and Leadership Award in the category of 'Innovation in Corporate Social Responsibilty Practices' in a ceremony held on 18th February, 2013. Dr. Saugata Mitra , Chief People Officer and Group HR Head, Mother
Dairy Fruit & Vegetable and Dr. Sanjay Muthal, Managing Director, Nugrid Consulting presented the award to Mr. G Jayaraman-Associate Vice President, HR, Admin & CSR, on behalf of Transasia. Inititated by Blue Dart, the event was attended by more than 200 delegates from renowned organizations such as ACC, HLL, HPCL, IOCL, M & M, Infosys, ONGC, OIL, Aditya Birla Group,Siemens , Max India, among others.

Right from its inception, Transasia chose to make a meaningful contribution to society as one of the key goals of its business operations. With a focus on ensuring overall development for the underprivileged children, Transasia initiates a host of activities for the betterment of these children.

The various programmes, emphasizing on the importance of education include study class program,computer education, regular contests, counselling sessions and career guidance, educational assistance,excursions, programmes for teachers and medical camps. As of date, more than 850 children have benefited from these programmes.

Apart from these, the company continues to support the Thalassemia Society in various regions. In the recent past it has supported Parent's Association Thalassemic Unit Trust in Mumbai and the Thalassemic Society of
Pune and Delhi.

Transasia manufactures and markets equipment and reagents, with an impressive install base of around 38,000 equipments across India. Transasia also exports to more than 90 countries in six continents.
