Gene Campaign is organizing a symposium on "The Relevance of GM Technology to Indian Agriculture and Food Security" on 26-27 November 2003, at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi.

The aim is to raise awareness about the various aspects of GM technology and assess their relevance and applicability to Indian conditions. The discussions will examine the role of GM technology in increasing food production and the role of alternative strategies, the socio-economic impact of this technology and the ability of India and other developing countries to implement GM technology in a safe and responsible manner

RNA in Drug Development conference

The Knowledge Foundation Inc. is organizing the 3rd annual conference on RNA in Drug Development from 10-11 November at San Diego, CA.

The conference will address the latest challenges within RNA stability, RNA delivery, designing functional siRNA's and discovering new opportunities for using RNA as a target. Pharma Expo 2003

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing its first flagship international exhibition and conference on the pharmaceutical industry—Pharma Expo 2003—at Mumbai. The exhibition to be held from 14-17 November 2003 will showcase the latest plant and equipment for pharma production, packaging machinery, analytical instruments and biotechnology.

Pharmacovigilance meeting

An international meeting on "Pharmacovigilance—Promoting Drug Safety Through Collaboration" will be held on 5-6 December in Mumbai. Organized by the Drugs Controller General of India, the meeting will be on the risks and benefits of medicines. The meeting will be preceded by a workshop on Pharmacovigilance.

Chicken Genome Sequence: Impact and Applications symposium

The University of Georgia, in association with AviGenics Inc., is organizing a two-day symposium on the science and benefits of chicken genome sequencing entitled "Chicken Genome Sequence: Impact and Applications". The symposium will be held on 13-14 November at the Omni Hotel, CNN Center, Atlanta, GA. It will offer an opportunity to review recent developments in avian genetics and transgenic technologies as well as the impact of avian genome sequencing efforts in diverse fields including the biopharmaceutical industry, poultry industry and food safety.

Antibody Engineering conference

IBC is organizing the 14th annual international Antibody Engineering conference at the Paradise Point Resort, San Diego, CA from 30 November and 1 December.
