Advanced Enzyme Technologies has in its basket hundreds of unique enzyme solutions derived from natural origins.

Advanced Enzyme Techno- logies Ltd (formerly A vanced Biochemicals Ltd) has consolidated its position by registering a growth of 41.59 percent over last year. Last year it witnessed a growth of 31.4 percent. Its sales have increased to Rs 56 crore during 2005-06 against previous year's sales of Rs 39.55 crore.

Still, for Advanced Enzyme Technologies, last year was a year of development. It focused on product and process developments. The team at Advanced Enzyme Technologies worked on the program for the Organic Certification, detailed the documentation and process parameters and successfully complied for the SKAL International Audit for Organic Certification and received the organic certificate for its agriculture bioproduct AgroSEB – an organic bio enzyme. It also received SKAL certification for its EnviroSEB product being certifying it to be an organic product. With this, Advanced Enzyme Technologies has joined the SKAL International Program for Organic Certification for its agriculture product AgroSEB (Unique Biological Yield and Quality Enhancer) that originates from organic cultivate and are processed using organic methods.

As one of the key players in biotech industry, Advanced Enzyme Technologies has been making efforts to keep its operations upgraded and keep up with the ever-increasing standards by elevating the strength of its human resource. Its operations are widely spread in different segments of industries such as food, leather, textile, animal nutrition, nutraceuticals and pharma. Advanced Enzyme Technologies has acquired a breakthrough in prevention therapy in course of nutraceuticals research. Its nutraceuticals range of products are capable of finding solutions for preventing diseases like TB, leprosy, obesity, cancer and cardiovascular disease.

With an objective to constantly develop new enzymes-based customized products for industry without any side effects, it has set up new R&D facility at Thane at an investment of Rs 7 crore. It has increased its R&D investments from five percent to nine percent of its total sales. Its multi-disciplinary R& D team consists of microbiologists, biochemists, chemical engineers, food technologists, and biotechnologists with several years of experience with enzyme technology. Through continuous R&D, it is developing a rapidly expanding range of products and services. Its extensive biotech experience has led to the development of hundreds of unique enzyme solutions addressing the needs of customers in 25 industries i.e. from health care to starch processing and breweries and distilleries to textiles and over 30 countries.

Advanced Enzyme Technologies products have been analyzed and screened by competent regulatory organizations and have answered required qualitative tests. One of its products used for coffee effluent treatment was tested through Karnataka Pollution Control Board, the results of which were very promising. A product for sewage treatment has also been successfully developed and commercialized through the Delhi Jal Board. It has come up a new product for leather segment that helps in reducing the pollution as it reduces the usage of lime, sulphide and solvent.

Advanced Enzyme Technologies, which entered the markets of China, Bangladesh and Turkey in 2004-05, is now exploring the European market too. Considering the market potential and growth of the market, it is expanding its production capacity by setting up two more new plants, one in Madhya Pradesh and second one in Maharashtra with total additional investments of Rs 45 crore.
