Agri-biotech PPP stimulates innovation in crop technology

- Rasi Seeds, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Madurai Kamaraj University have directed their coordinated efforts in developing virus-resistance Cassava plants. The project is supported through SBIRI scheme of Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
- Under the SBIRI scheme, Sun Agrigenetics has collaborated with DBT to develop quality Date palm and Sandalwood by using the micropropagation technology.
- The funding support from DBT under SBIRI, enabled Bangalore-based Indo-American Hybrid seeds to initiate the project on market assisted selection for development of salt-tolerant rice hybrids.
