challenges of all kinds-scientific, political, legal and ethical. In this

Penetration of Stem Cell Therapy in APAC Region

Singapore has the highest penetration for stem cell
therapy, achieving almost 25% penetration rate by 2010.

Both Thailand & Taiwan have similar penetration
rates achieving overall penetration of almost 4% by 2010.

Malaysia on the other hand has a relatively lower
penetration rate at 1.2% by 2010.

India offers penetration of 5% by 2010 largely
accounted by stem cell therapies derived out of cord blood banking. It
has
three international players already creating a headstart.
- In the APAC regions, Singapore has the highest penetration with a
CAGR of almost 66% for market penetration over the next five years.
Malaysia leads second with a CAGR of 33%. Taiwan & Thailand lead
on the basis of sheer numbers, but would have a comparatively lower
demand trajectory due to restrictive healthcare policies. Source:
