73.63 crore in
2009-10 thus registering a growth of 23.32 percent over last year.
Eppendorf India show-ed good increase in revenue in 2010-11 due to the
synergy between the products from both Eppendorf and New Brunswick.
Acquisition of New Brunswick by Eppendorf helped Eppendorf India to
increase the sales significantly.
During the year, Eppendorf launched Eppendorf Xplorer (electronic
pipette), Eppendorf Eporator (electroporator), epBlue ID, twin.tec PCR
plates (unskirted), PCR plates (divisible), three new rotors for
Centrifuges 5804/R and 5810/R. New Brunswick also introduced High
Efficiency -86°C Freezers, Galaxy 170R CO2 incubators (refresher
versions).
Eppendorf products are grouped in three competence areas — liquid
handling, sample handling and cell handling. Eppendorf products are
aimed at academic and commercial research institutes as well as
companies from pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries.
Eppendorf’s liquid handling products range from manual pipettes to
electronic pipettes, dispensers, and burettes to automated pipetting
systems. Eppendorf pipette tip and combitip range comprises a wide
variety of standards for certified purity and makes a major
contribution to user-friendly liquid handling in the
laboratory.
In the area of sample handling, Eppendorf’s range includes devices for
centrifugation, heating, freezing, mixing, amplification and
photometry. A further important product group is consumables for sample
handling. The best-known consumable is the Eppendorf tube, fondly
referred to as “Eppi” by users worldwide. In addition, the company
offers reaction plates, disposable cuvettes, and consumables for PCR.
