In this issue of BioSpectrum the Public Private Partnership Case Study Series showcases the work of an organization, set up under public-private partnership, in sequencing and analyzing the genome of a higher organism. The other two companies featured have utilized funding by the government to find home-grown solutions to expensive and imported vaccine and diagnostic kit.
- Ganit Labs, a public-private partnership between Strand Life Sciences and the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, sequenced and analyzed the entire genome of Neem tree
- With BIPP funding, Amar Immunodiagnostics finds an answer to the imported and expensive diagnostic kits for autoimmune diseases
- Tergene Biotech uses Department of Biotechnology's help to develop a vaccine for pneumonia that is more affordable
