Pall Corp launches GeneDisc System

07 October 2010 | News

Pall Corporation, introduced GeneDisc Rapid Microbiology System for advanced microbial quality monitoring. This system represents Pall’s latest quality assurance innovation for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

The features of GeneDisc Rapid Microbiology System such as novel, highly-simplified technology, based on bar-coded data input and fewer operator-dependent  steps, enable reliable results. that significantly reduce the risk of user error. The economic design of the GeneDisc System also offers the unique advantage of moving assays to an operator with relatively modest training, freeing up technically-skilled staff, for more demanding duties.

GE's Biacore T200 launched
GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric has launched Biacore T200, designed to deliver exceptional sensitivity in the measurement of high-quality kinetic, affinity, concentration, specificity, and thermodynamic interaction data, in real time. The system builds upon the success of the widely adopted Biacore T100.
The performance, versatility and sensitivity of Biacore T200, enable analysis of interactions involving the smallest, low molecular weight compounds, interactions of rare targets, and facilitates the analysis of interactions involving G protein-coupled receptors. The outstanding sensitivity of the system also allows antigen immobilization levels so low, that interactions with antibody in solution can be analyzed, without avidity effects, thus adding flexibility to assay design. In addition, the system expands the range of kinetic parameters that can be studied with the highest precision and confidence, from the fastest on-rates to the slowest off-rates.

Agilent launches new Workbench
Agilent Technologies, a company focusing on bio-analytical measurement business, has introduced the 7696 Sample Prep Workbench, a new instrument for automated preparation of analytical samples. It supports sample preparation for liquid chromatography and gas chromatography techniques.

The 7696 Sample Prep Workbench offers customers increased productivity through automation, as well as easy-to-use software and hardware.

Waters introduces Ostro plate products
Waters Corporation, a global biosupplier company, has introduced the new Ostro sample preparation plate, representing a novel approach for the removal of phospholipids from biological samples. When compared to other phospholipid removal devices and traditional liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) methods, Ostro removes up to 30 times more phospholipids.
