PES Institute of Technology, started its BE in biotechnology course in 2002. Peoples Education Society was established in 1972 and it runs a group of institutions that offer diploma, undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs in commerce, engineering, management, medicine, pharmacy and science disciplines.
The department of biotechnology at the institute has a well-established infrastructure and comprises nine laboratories in the areas of cell and microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, animal and plant tissue culture, upstream & downstream processing, unit operations, momentum transfer. The courses offered by the biotech department are MPharm, MSc in biotechnology, MSc in medical microbiology and medical pharmacology.
PES School of Engineering, which offers BE in biotechnology course, has a state-of-the-art facility providing the right ambience that ensures the best of teaching, learning and research engagements.
